IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: PROGRAM OF THE CONCERTS

Dear Friends of Muse Salentine,

After many months of uncertainty, it now looks as if the sanitary situation is sufficiently stabilised to allow for our little festival to resume.

As in the past, we’ll have two sessions. The first, in August, will feature three concerts: on the 2nd, the vocal ensemble La Tempête will perform in the cathedral of Otranto, on the 4th, op Piazzo Castello, open air, we’ll have a recital by the fabulous young Cuban-French jazz pianist Carlos Cippelletti and on the 6th it will be Vincent Dumestre and Le Poème Harmonique, both in Alessano.

Between September 2nd and 9th, we’ll feature Anthony Romaniuk (various keyboards), Sergei Redkin (recent laureate of the Queen Elisabeth competition), Scipione Sangiovanni with Riccardo Calogiuri, Sergei Redkin (2nd prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition 2021), Mauro Valli and maestro Giuliano Carmignola.

The details of the programmes will be displayed on the website in the coming days.

As we’re not sure about the sanitary instructions that will be given by the authorities, it is possible that accèss to the concerts will be restricted. We thus need to put in place a “first come, first served” reservation system. We will open reservations for the August session on June 20th and on July 20th for the September session. I will ask those who will have a reservation to kindly pay their membership fee to the association and to all the others to do as their heart dictates. May I remind you that all monies collected will go directly to the musicians who are in great need after a very challenging year.

Looking forward to seeing you again and long live music!

Charles Adriaenssen
