Dear Friends,

With deep regrets I’m afraid I have to announce the cancellation of the summer session of Muse Salentine. I was hoping against hope that we would be able to celebrate our freedom regained in music and that we could give some hope to the artists who are deprived of income and whose future is uncertain.
But too many questions remain unanswered. Will concerts be authorized? Will the artists and our friends be able to travel to Salento? Is it realistically possible to enforce social distanciation? And, by the way, how would wind instruments be played through a mask…
Maybe we can maintain our September session. But the truth is I don’t know; nobody knows. We are moving step by step into the unknown. Of course I’ll inform you as soon as things are clarified.
To those of you who’ve already generously paid their contribution for 2020, I’d like to offer two possibilities. The default solution would be that the contributions will be valid for the 2021 edition. But if you explicitly authorize me, I would give your moneys to the musicians.
